Player Spotlight: Patrick Mahomes
Man, what can't this guy do? Mahomes put on another show Sunday night against the Bucs, making it look easy as he carved up Tampa's defense. Even with a banged-up ankle that had Chiefs fans holding their breath for a minute there, he kept slinging it like it was just another day at the office. The connection with his new toy DeAndre Hopkins is starting to look scary good - those two touchdown passes were absolute dimes. And let's not forget about his security blanket Travis Kelce, who feasted with 14 catches.
What's wild is how Mahomes keeps making these ridiculous plays look routine. There was this one throw in the third quarter where he was practically falling down, yet somehow found Hopkins in the back of the corner of the endzone. Classic Mahomes magic. The guy's out there playing like it's backyard football, and the Bucs just couldn't do anything about it. The ankle thing is worth keeping an eye on, but knowing Mahomes, he'll probably just shrug it off and be ready to go next week. With performances like this, it's no wonder the Chiefs are still perfect this season. Just another Sunday for the NFL's ultimate cheat code.
